The same is true of well-run homestays on Airbnb, heritage havelis converted into guest properties, and the kind of forest lodges that spend real money on the guest experience. The printed cotton bedsheet has become part of how India presents its better accommodations to guests.

And yet most of the hotels, homestays, and corporate buyers who want these bedsheets are paying three to four times the factory price to get them — because nobody told them they could source directly from Sanganer. This guide is that conversation.

We produce over 5,000 pieces a month from our Sanganer factory. Bedsheets are our single highest-volume category, and they have been for years. Both of these buyers typically end up buying from a gift shop, a marketplace, or a city wholesaler at significant markup. The option to order directly from the Sanganer manufacturer — where the bedsheets actually come from — is not one they have been offered. This guide changes that.

Corporate & Diwali gifting — the numbers

The corporate gifting window for Diwali opens in September and peaks in October. Companies that plan their gifting in July and August get first access to designs and avoid the October rush, when everything at every price point gets picked over. A Jaipuri printed bedsheet set is one of the strongest corporate gifts available — genuinely useful, authentically Indian, and presentable in a way that dry fruits and sweets are not.

₹560 per gift, directly from the factory, for a product a corporate gifting vendor charges ₹950 to ₹1,200. For a 200-person company, that is a saving of ₹78,000 to ₹1,28,000 on the same product. The difference is simply the supply chain — and for a purchase this predictable and repeatable, there is no reason to keep the middleman in the chain.

How to judge bedsheet quality before ordering

Not all Jaipuri printed bedsheets are the same quality, and in a bulk order the differences compound. Four things to check:

Pre-washed and pre-shrunk: Ask directly. A pre-washed bedsheet will not shrink on the guest's first wash or in a hotel laundry. A bedsheet that has not been pre-treated will shrink by 5–8%, which causes fitting problems and complaints.

Colour fastness: The dyes must be reactive dyes that are properly fixed after printing. A quick informal test: wet a corner and press against white cloth — a good reactive dye will not transfer. Poorly fixed dye will bleed onto white linen in the same wash, which is a serious problem in a hotel context.

Thread count and cotton quality: Hotel-use bedsheets should be a minimum 120 TC (thread count) cotton for durability through repeated washing. Ask for the thread count before ordering — a genuine manufacturer can tell you.

Seam and edge finishing: On a bulk order, check that the hems are even and the stitching is uniform. Uneven stitching at the edges means the bedsheet was finished in a hurry or on a poorly set machine.

For corporate gifting orders with a Diwali deadline, we recommend initiating contact no later than the first week of September for October delivery. Production for large runs takes 10–15 days, and adding packaging takes another 5. Starting early means your order is not competing with the October rush.
